Ms. Hoffman was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana. In 1985, she graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. Upon graduation, she was recruited by Ford Motor Company, which relocated her to Jacksonville, Florida. While with Ford, she worked as a dealer consultant where she assisted dealerships with intra-dealership financial analysis and the resolution of customer satisfaction issues and lemon law cases.
Ms. Hoffman thereafter went to law school and received her law degree in 1992 from Stetson University College of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Hoffman interned with Middle District of Florida Federal Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich and the Office of the Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County. She was also the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Trusts and Estates, reflecting her achievement of the highest possible class mark.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Hoffman was appointed as an Assistant State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit in Clearwater, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. Hoffman prosecuted in excess of 80 jury trials that included capital sexual batteries and murders. Additionally, Ms. Hoffman regularly served as a judge for law school mock trial competitions. After serving as an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. Hoffman was in-house counsel for Nationwide Insurance where she provided litigation feasibility analysis for claims in suit and trained claims personnel in the legal aspects of claims handling.
Ms. Hoffman devotes her practice to both Collaborative Law and family litigation including complex financial cases. Her goal in each case is to assist her clients in achieving their desired outcome while minimizing their stress.
Ms. Hoffman is a member of the Florida Bar and the Clearwater Bar Association and has been recognized as a Top 100 Family Lawyer in the State of Florida by The American Society of Legal Advocates. Ms. Hoffman has served on local Boards of charitable foundations and contributes to many local and national charitable organizations on a regular basis.
